dc.description.abstract The purpose of the current study is to determine that to what extent and how IT integration is able to affect the Supply Chain Management in a Company’s Operations, in the Retail sector of Pakistan in general and Metro Cash and Carry in particular. The present study is based on the framework for the development of IT for effective SCM by Gunasekaran and Ngai (2004) and intends to develop a theoretical framework that provides guidelines to organizations, practitioners and professionals. The theoretical framework depicts the causal ' relationship between IT systems and Supply Chain Operations in Retail Sector of Pakistan. The nature of the study suggests positivist paradigm which is expected to consider the most appropriate approach to test the key preposition of the present study. The required data is expected to be collected through structured questionnaire from Metro Cash and Carry Pakistan. The unit of analysis of the study is Managerial staff working at Metro Cash and Carry Pakistan. The expected outcomes of the present study are ant i cipated to provide an understanding of the effect of IT systems and their components so as to increase the Operational efficiency of Supply Chains in Retail Stores and what can be the additional methods that can increase the Supply Chain efficiency. en_US
