dc.description.abstract This project is all about examining the implementation and rationale for the implementation of a new web-based ERP (enterprise resource planning) application which replace the home made solutions (locally developed systems of management) at TOPS food and beverages (A division of Murree Brewery co. LTD). Issues include not employed any suitable information system except a locally developed one and lacking the sufficient warehousing capacity in the organization. The project provides an extensive review of relevant literature, academic models of ERP (enterprise resource planning) implementation and various theories on the possible reasons for implementing ERP in the organization, and also pointing out other factors for the higher costs. It studies the simplest possible solutions for the problems faced in the organization and further studies the impact of possible change on work practices and discussion on findings of the research based on the semi structured interviews, literature reviews and academic models. At the end the change which occurred in the organization as a result of implementation which was analyzed and recommendedtowards implementation of ERP system. en_US
