Abstract:
This study explores the role of country as well as corporate governance in attracting foreign direct investment into a country. For this purpose the data from Pakistan is employed. Both the countries as well as corporate governance have been captured via indices that are developed on the basis of various mechanisms employed across the globe to gauge these variables. The multiple linear regression technique has been used as the econometric technique. The results show that the both the country as well as the corporate governance play a significant role in attracting foreign direct investment in Pakistan
