dc.description.abstract The growing demand for faster and more flexible delivery services has highlighted significant limitations in traditional logistics systems, which rely on fixed routes, centralized operations, and limited user interaction. These systems do not efficiently utilize available travel resources and often lack an integrated platform for job posting, communication, and transaction management. As a result, users experience delays, poor coordination, and limited transparency. This creates a need for a modern, user-driven solution that supports real-time interaction and optimizes delivery processes using available resources. To address these challenges, this project presents DAAKEA, a peer-to-peer delivery marketplace application that connects senders with travelers already moving along similar routes. The system operates as a role-based platform where users register, select their role (Sender or Traveler), and access role-specific dashboards. Senders can post delivery jobs with relevant details, while travelers can browse jobs, apply filters, and submit bids. Once a bid is accepted, both parties can coordinate through a real-time chat system. The application is developed using Flutter for cross-platform support and integrated with Firebase services, including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Cloud Functions, to ensure real-time data synchronization and communication. The implemented system supports a complete delivery workflow, including job posting, bidding, notifications, chat, and transaction tracking, along with an admin dashboard for system management. Overall, DAAKEA provides a scalable and practical solution that improves coordination, utilizes travel resources efficiently, and enables travelers to earn income while delivering parcels. en_US
