dc.description.abstract PalPath is Dental Care Management Software that helps Dental Practitioners with Record Keeping, Clinical Situation and Diagnostic Activities. In many dental offices, digital tools have been making their way into the use of patient information, which includes managing medical records. Most of the systems available, however, are management-only systems or require being purchased with a stand-alone diagnostic system. The concept behind PalPath was to fill this gap, having a single platform that contains patient administration, and AI backed illness detection. The app's front end is developed using Flutter and its back end with Python Flask.Front end of the app created using Flutter and back end using Python Flask. The various dental diseases are detected using the deep learning model, YOLOv8 from dental X-ray images. Dentists can upload their X-rays into the system, review the results identified from the X-ray's confidence scores, and store them in their patient's records. The system also comes with other facilities such as lectures notes management, quiz generation, PDF report generation, patient management, case handling and scan storage as well as AI module.[5][9] Cloud storage was offered by Firebase Storage, and real-time database synchronization and authentication by the Firebase system. This allowed the system to keep records up to date on another device without having to manually refresh the system. Secure data management and the student and dental professional's ease of use were highlighted during development. The overall goal of the project was to reduce the amount of manual work performed, to improve documentation and to assist the dentist in the diagnosis stage of the procedures. [11] en_US
