| dc.description.abstract | The world is gradually becoming advanced and so the needs of the people are increasing too. In today’s world things have started to become smart i.e., IoT based. IoT stands for Internet of Things. It is a system of interrelated and interconnected devices and objects that are able to transfer data over a wireless network with little or no human intervention. Hence, in simple words objects have sensors, software etc. to communicate and exchange data. The basic purpose of introducing this idea of Restaurant Robot System is to help food points in delivering their food on time and in more efficient manner. The hardware components we need in our project are NodeMCU ESP8266, DC Gear Motor, L298 Motor Driver, IR Sensor. The software’s we used for coding and simulation purpose are Android Studio, Proteus and Firebase Database. The Restaurant Robot System works on two main steps, i.e., food ordering system and food delivery system. In first step, user will order the food via android app that contains list of items. Then the cook will receive the notification of customer’s order and their table number on app. The food's going to be delivered by robots to the customers. The aim of this system is to create and develop android applications that allow robots to be controlled by humans, with a view to reducing the number of staff working in restaurants, hotels etc. In addition, it is aimed at reducing the occurrence of errors in manual work | en_US |
