Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose for this research is due to the reasoning that there are number of factors that influence the performance of the operational efficiency of the retail industry and one of which is the use of technological advancement in this field. Number of studies has been performed for the retail sector in Western and Asian countries .regarding Internet of Thins (IoT) devices and solutions on major industries and specifically the retail but the operational efficiency is the key area that should be prominent due to the reason that it is the only major thing for which the IoT devices will be the part of success in the retail sector. This research is carried out for the retail industry of Pakistan and has a future prospects to understand the nature and value that can come out of such solutions in coming years.
Design: This thesis has been designed in a way by which we can find out impact of internet of things (IoT) devices and solutions on the operational efficiency variable with the help of secondary data and previous researches done on it.
Findings: This study finds impact of devices and solutions in the internet of things paradigm (IoT) for retail industry of Pakistan. The research paper is based on the secondary data. Moreover it tried to determine the new and improved area for business Excellency and operational performance of the retail industry and what devices and solutions should be placed for such industry. We found that the devices and solutions do have an impact on business area of operation and reduced cost/expenses to increase profitability and efficiency in overall business.
