Foreign Direct Investment in Pakistan Firms after Financial Global Crisis 2008

Abstract

This dissertation is start from the summary; it is mainly focused on the foreign direct investment in Pakistan five industry sectors after financial crisis. This thesis starts from the introduction of the topic that what is the foreign direct investment and financial Crisis how it can affect Pakistan industry and Pakistan GDP, which sectors are most affected after the global crisis and less FDI inflow. After introduction of this dissertation tells the objective of that, what is the agenda to work on this thesis and why is more important. The objectives shows that what u needs to find in the dissertation. After that the objective the researcher starts to review literature and the main objective of this literature review is gain knowledge about the topic from different sources the researcher use to study different related material to enhance knowledge about investments. The objective of the literature review is to explore the finding with the old researches. After that thesis tells about the methodology chapter. Methodology includes many things like the kind of research, data collection techniques, and sample size of research, variables and research limitations. Methodology shows the reliability and validity of the dissertation. With the help of methodology we use to identify variable by making hypothesis. After that we use to find data regarding our methodology and then run regression and correlation for the purpose of model checking and relation between variable. In the last researcher use to give recommendation conclusion of the thesis. This research investigates the crash of foreign direct investment on industry of Pakistan. The year wise data were collected from Board of investment and World Bank by using simple regression technique and data research by using SPSS software. It was discovered that the industries are in urgent require of financial and technological investments. There is a strong relation between foreign direct investment and Gross Domestic Product. It was proved that the crisis has a negative effect on Pakistan GDP and FDI, but FDI has a positive impact on GDP. Most of the industry sectors suffer after crisis especially financial sectors.
