| dc.description.abstract | We dive into creation of this project to make human life simpler by providing the information of the electricity meter with few clicks on the phone. This report covers the methodology used to create such a system which will receive commands from the GSM device and in response, reply to the same media with the information about the electricity units utilized by the consumer. Starting with the scope of this project and the goals along with advantages, this report goes on to explain the electrical components, devices and paraphernalia used to achieve the desired purpose. The two main stages of designing and implementation of this project included Metering Part and Power Factor part. After calculating power factor, we move on to interfacing of the system with the LCD screen of the mobile phone. This will be followed by results that were obtained along with a discussion on the working of the GEM and the problems that were faced. | en_US |
