| dc.description.abstract | The research is regarding to show the performance of SCBPL and also the Factors that might contribute in the declining the profitability of Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited. SCBPL is a foreign bank working in this geographical region (INDO-PAK subcontinent) before the existence of Pakistan. The SCBPL enjoys the boom & profits in their FY05 but after the acquisition of union bank (acquired controlling stake 95.37%), the SCBPL has shown some decreasing trend in their profitability because of management and operation problem arise after introducing itself the 1st international bank incorporated in Pakistan. This research indicates the performance of SCBPL from the FY05-FY09 by showing their financial statement analysis and also showed the future growth of the bank by giving the future forecasted statement of the SCBPL for the next 5 years. In the end recommendation shows opportunities for further improvement in standard chartered bank’s policies regarding their future progress in which SCBPL play a positive part in building up their banking progress and help in booming the Pakistan banking economy. | en_US |
