dc.description.abstract The main purpose of this project is to identify the reasons of low investment in UBL mutual funds by retailers and individuals specifically in “United stock Advantage Fund” or USF. One of the key objectives was to study the existing investment solutions sought by different types of investors, and determine why they chose to invest in those specific financial products. This helped in identifying the diverse needs of the respondents from which suitable strategies were developed. Questionnaires were distributed and administered to selected respondents for this purpose and interviewed personals to get details of UBL’s product offerings and read articles to broaden the perspective. It was found that the most of respondents are not aware of mutual fund products and that retailer and individuals have different needs in terms of risk tolerance, required rate of return and investment objectives. Hence UBL Fund Managers needs to pay attention to two key aspects to seek investment in Mutual Funds from the aforementioned segments. First a single product cannot cater to the needs of both Individual as well as Retail investors as they have different needs. Second, a lot needs to be done to create awareness among the general public about mutual fund products and its benefits because the majority doesn’t even know. en_US
