Abstract:
This Project is on the evaluation of training procedures and policies that are put into practice at Islamabad Serena Hotel and it begins with a brief introduction of the areas under focus of training of employees in Serena Hotel. Also it discusses the impacts of training on the employee motivation and employee’s development and growth that are the results of training. In the beginning, the problem statement is discussed briefly, the objectives of the research are described and the factors that could have a positive or negative impact over training are also identified.
Further the different school of thoughts and previously done researches regarding training techniques and methods are discussed. The history and detailed description of Islamabad Serena Hotel is given. The important features that distinguish Islamabad Serena Hotel from other hotels of the industry are highlighted and its different restaurants are briefly introduced and the facilities they provide are identified. Evaluation has been done and depict that the company has worked towards innovative services and betterment of its customers and employees.
The Hotel industry as a whole with respect to training of employees is also discussed which is than narrowed to Islamabad Serena Hotel. The research methods used for this project at Islamabad Serena hotel are identified and the research is than evaluated and analyzed to finally reach to a conclusion. Keeping in mind the research objectives, certain recommendations are made in order to fill up the gaps between the actual and the desired training activities to make the training procedures more effective and which will be useful for the company in the long run.
