dc.description.abstract This research work emphasizes on self-isolated 4-Element, dual-band (3.5 GHz and 5.5 GHz) Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna design with an explanation of the basic features, factors, simulation, and also the sorts of antennas that are used in fifth-generation (5Generation) communication mobile handsets. MIMO technology is essentially a wireless communication system with various antennas at both the source and recipient ends, which enhances overall channel capacity without additional band-width and transmission (Tx) power. The proposed antenna single element section consists of two branches namely, T-Shaped and Inverted L-Shaped. Moreover, the T-shaped design operates at the 3.5 GHz frequency band (3205–3885 MHz) while the Inverted L-shaped design generates resonance at the 5.5 GHz frequency band (5032–7260 MHz) accurately. The impedance bandwidth at both bands is 680 MHz and 2200 MHz correspondingly. The total dimensions of the proposed 4-element antenna are 70mm × 140mm × 0.8mm-thick and use a low-cost substrate (FR-4). The proposed antenna’s overall efficiency is greater than 86 percent (%). The proposed highest peak gain at 3.5 GHz as well as 5.5 GHz are 5.3 dBi and 4.2 dBi. Additionally, the return losses for the 3.5 GHz and also 5.5 GHz bands are respectively, ≤ -18 dB and ≤ -21 dB. The envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), which is also measured, is below 0.0035. Isolation between all antennas is greater than 13 (dB) including both frequency bands, which is ideal for mobile antennas. The proposed antenna is a novel and symmetric design, highly efficient, low profile, lighter in weight, ultra-wideband, and monopole antenna. The simulations of the 4-Element MIMO antenna are performed in CST Micro-wave Studio 2020. en_US
