Abstract:
Pakistan is a Muslim country built as a trustee of world’s most
fast growing religion Islam. According to Islam there are
certain duties that are obligatory on every Muslim to be
fulfilled. One of those duties is the payment of Zakat i.e. the
paying of a certain percentage of wealth on the material and
financial wealth owned by a Muslim which aims to eradicate
poverty but unfortunately Pakistan is facing the worst economic
as well as moral crisis right now.
The aim of this project was to come up with in-depth analysis of
variables that are affecting the zakat disbursement process. A
through survey was conducted by floating the questionnaire,
conducting interviews, analyzing case studies to get the results
and support our research by gathered facts and figures.
This project will be a contribution towards identifying the
black holes in zakat distribution process by qualitative and
quantitative methods and to develop a framework which can help
zakat distribution process to enhance performance through
constructive new methods, procedures, human resource policies
and implementation.
