<description>Impact of Emotional Intelligence on Project Performance: Task Interdependency as Mediator and Cultural Diversity as Moderator
Esha Rashid, 01-398202-073
In today’s era, the project performance indicators are no longer limited only to the iron triangle that is cost, time, and quality. The performance of the project not only depends upon the team collaboration, customer satisfaction as well as the personal traits of the people who are associated with other metrics. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between emotional intelligence and project performance. The mediating role of task interdependence and the moderating role of cultural diversity among team members has been examined in this study as well. In the field of Software development projects, a huge weightage is given to technical knowledge, whereas, the personality traits have not been included, the previous studies show a great impact of the same in the project success. This study is testifying the Emotional Intelligence (EI) of the Project Manager and Project Team on the project performance. Further, the scope of this research is also successfully establishing the linkage of task interdependency and cultural diversity as moderating and mediating factors among Emotional Intelligence and Project performance by analyzing the data collected from 307 respondents of software-based organizations in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The research includes the various project Managers and team members who are working on an agile software development Project. The data is collected via convenient sampling technique. The results of regression analysis of this study supported the impact of Emotional intelligence on project performance. The results from Preacher and Hayes's model confirm the moderating role of Cultural diversity among Emotional Intelligence and Project Performance. These findings shall help particularly the software industry of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to develop Human Resource strategies that would help the project team.

<description>The Impact of Big Five Personality Traits on the Salience of Project Employees from the Perspective of Project Managers
Areefa Fatima, 01-398202-013
Stakeholders of any organization play a key role in the firm’s success. When they are left unmanaged, the organization may have to bear negative consequences. Therefore, managers need guidelines for identification and prioritization of the stakeholders. The Stakeholders’ Salience Theory is considered to be a major contribution in the scientific research because it studied stakeholders as a group. Although, it gained a lot of attention among the researchers, there was still a need to consider individual related factors in which their behavior and personalities would be studied. All the stakeholders working under a managers are not equally salient to them, therefore, a different scholarly treatment is needed to identify which personality factors make those stakeholders significant from the managers’ perspective. The model chosen to assess the personality traits was big five model which included 5 personality traits such as extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, and neuroticism. The five personality traits were chosen as independent variables whereas the salience of the project employees was chosen as dependent variable. For data collection different stakeholders-more specifically project employees- working in different projects under education sector were assessed via big five model personality survey and against each employee, their project managers rated them according to the salience they gave them. As a result, it was concluded that four of the five personality traits i.e. extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness had positive effect on the salience of the project employees, whereas, only one personality trait i.e. neuroticism had a negative effect on the salience of the project employees. Although, openness had a positive impact on the salience of project employees, but it had a weak significance subjecting to the consideration of the contextual factors. The hypotheses formulated in this study, all were supported by previous studies

<link>http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/13044</link>
<description>The Impact of Performance Climate and Mastery Climate on Project Team Collaboration with Mediating Role of Prosocial Motivation
Ayesha Dawood, 01-398202-017
From the many past years, project work within team has become the common place in the firm and organization. Different research indicated that motivation climates such as performance climate and mastery climate in which project teams are operating would be highly relevant to determine the behavior of employees. The current study examines and investigates the impact of Performance Climate “PC” and Mastery Climate “MC” on Project Team Collaboration “PTC” with the mediating role of Prosocial Motivation “PM”. Project Team Collaboration plays significant role in the success of the project and organization and that is highly and significantly influenced by PC and MC and both of them combined together to improve project team collaboration with the contribution of prosocial behaviors. The primary research methodology is used for research in which survey of 194 individual from the IT sectors firms of Pakistan are performed to collect the data. Research approach used is deductive research and quantitative data is collected for the research. The tool to perform the analysis in the research is Smart PLS 3.3. The research findings demonstrated that there is mediating impact of prosocial motivation between the independent variable (PC and MC) and dependent variable (PTC). In future, current research is enhanced by testing research and examining research framework using the longitudinal data. Also, there are several factors such as Self-Efficacy and Self-Confidence that can also impact the project team collaboration that can be included in the future study.
