<description>Enhancing the Project Success Through Effective Communication
03-398232-013, Naeem Abbas
Effective communication is a critical factor to achieve the project success, particularly in complex and dynamic organizational environments. This study explores the relationship between communication behavior, communication quality, and project outcomes, underlining the moderating role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the context of Marine Engineering firms. Communication behavior comprising responsiveness and assertiveness while communication quality, categorized by clarity, accuracy, and consistency, play pivotal roles in ensuring effective stakeholder engagement. The deficiency of effective communication often leads to project failures due to misunderstandings, unclear information flow, and weak stakeholder coordination. The study employs a quantitative research methodology, exploiting survey data from Marine Engineering Firms like Karachi Shipyard Pakistan to study the impact of communication diminuendos on project performance. The research framework incorporates key theoretical models, such as Communication Theory, Stakeholder Theory, and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), to investigate how ICT tools moderate communication effectiveness. Findings indicate that both communication behavior and communication quality significantly contribute to communication commitment, which in turn enhances project success. However, while information and communication technology (ICT) is widely perceived as a facilitator of communication, its moderating effect was found to be inconsistent, as improper use of digital tools may lead to stress, miscommunication, and information overload. The study highlights that successful project execution depends on structured communication channells and the planned integration of information and communication technology ICT. Organizations must adopt tailored ICT solutions that align with project requirements while ensuring adequate training for team members to maximize benefits. The research also finds gaps in existing literature regarding the empirical quantification of communication effectiveness and the role of cultural differences in project environments. The findings offer valuable insights for project managers and policymakers in Marine Engineering Projects, highlighting the need for communication strategies that foster stakeholder engagement, trust, and collaboration. Future research should focus on comparative analyses across Marine Engineering sectors to further explore the interplay between communication practices and project success. By addressing these challenges, organizations can enhance communication commitment, optimize project management strategies, and improve overall project outcomes.

<title>IMPACT OF SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT ON CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS : A</title>

<description>IMPACT OF SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT ON CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS : A
03-398231-003, Bilal Suhail Memon
The construction industry plays a pivotal role in Pakistan's economic&#13;
development, driving infrastructural progress and creating job opportunities. However,&#13;
the industry faces challenges in adopting sustainable procurement practices, which are&#13;
vital in reduction of environmental impact and improving project outcomes. This research&#13;
focused on investigating the impact of sustainable procurement on construction projects&#13;
in Pakistan, specifically examining how this approach can enhance project performance.&#13;
This research investigates the impact of sustainable procurement practices on project&#13;
performance in Lahore's construction sector. Using a quantitative approach, data was&#13;
collected from 258 stakeholders, including project managers and procurement officers in&#13;
PEC-approved firms. The research has adopted Equation Modeling (SEM) to determine&#13;
the relationship between sustainable procurement, seller commitment, and the moderating&#13;
role of Project Management Office. The results indicate that sustainable procurement&#13;
significantly enhances project performance, with seller commitment acting as a strong&#13;
mediator in this relationship. However, project management offices were found to have&#13;
an insignificant moderating effect on the link between sustainable procurement and seller&#13;
commitment, although they positively influence seller commitment's impact on project&#13;
performance. These findings suggest that while sustainable procurement practices can&#13;
improve cost-efficiency, quality, and environmental outcomes, further integration of&#13;
project management offices in procurement processes is necessary to maximize benefits.&#13;
This research provides actionable insights for construction firms and policymakers to&#13;
adopt more sustainable procurement methods, contributing to the broader goal of&#13;
sustainable development in Pakistan.

<title>Patient Appointment Management System</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/20862</link>
<description>Patient Appointment Management System
03-398232-011, 03-398232-011
The Patient Appointment Management System (PAMS) is a digital solution designed to optimize the scheduling and management of medical appointments in healthcare facilities. The software addresses issues such as inefficient appointment systems, extended waiting periods, and the inefficient use of resources that hospitals and clinics often experience. It allows patients and healthcare workers to make, reschedule, or cancel an appointment easily. This increases productivity and the level of satisfaction among patients. Employing the use of PAMS in Jinnah Hospital indicates the success of PAMS in a healthcare environment that is highly active. Its key components include the capability to monitor statuses of bookings in real-time, providing patients with automatic notifications, and more importantly, integration with the hospital's management to ensure proper data maintenance. The system works well for a large number of patients and has the added advantage of being offered in various languages. In addition, this is in line with the vision of the Jinnah Hospital which is seeking to enhance the quality of care through the use of technology. This report describes the process of the development of PAMS and the implementation of the system in Jinnah Hospital. It deems important the tangibility of administrative overheads, rationalization of resource use, and engagement of the clinic’s patients. It also addresses particular challenges for Jinnah Hospital such as system expansion, data confidentiality, and integration with existing hospital Information systems. The effectiveness of PAMS is an excellent reference for other facilities seeking to modernize their activities and enhance their services.

ABSTRACT&#13;
In this digital era, IT industry of a country plays a vital role in its development.&#13;
This study aims at analyzing how employing Agile Practices affects the success of the&#13;
project in the agile-centric IT organizations in Punjab, Pakistan. It also analyzes the&#13;
impact of Agile Practices and Team Performance on Project Success, along with the&#13;
moderating effect of Project Complexity on Team Performance and ultimately Project&#13;
Success. To collect the data, a questionnaire was used, and 201 responses were collected&#13;
from IT professionals, out of which 169 respondents used agile practices that were used&#13;
for data analysis. To analyze the data, Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was applied&#13;
using SmartPLS 4. The analysis deduced that employing Agile Practices increases the&#13;
chances of successful project completion with Team Performance mediating the&#13;
relationship between Agile Practices and Project Success. It is also observed that Project&#13;
Complexity moderates the relationship between Agile Practices and Team Performance.&#13;
This research contributes to the literature on Agile Practices and Team Performance&#13;
especially in the field of IT. This study provides a better understanding of the relationship&#13;
between Agile Practices, Team Performance and Project Complexity with an increased&#13;
rate of Project Success.
