Security is one of the biggest concerns now days. With increasing security threats an elevation in the safety measures needs to be considered. Our nation has suffered too much at the hands of dangerous people. In this project we aim to develop an UGAV (Unmanned Ground Armed Vehicle). The UGAV will be mounted with a gun and a camera. The gun will be able to move in four directions and rotate in 360 degrees based on the commands of the user using DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency). The system is based on mobile communication through which signals are sent in order to perform a certain function. The system will work in two modes i.e. (a) GSM mode (b) RF mode. The GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) mode uses GSM network to transmit the DTMF tones and the RF (Radio Frequency) mode uses RF signal to transmit the DTMF tones.

In the current scenario of energy crisis and insecurity, this project "GSM Based Home Automation and Security System "will help people overcome these situations. This project report consists of basic steps that involve the system analysis, the design of the hardware and also testing and implementation. As energy crisis/rate in Pakistan is increasing day by day, so this project providing a better solution to such problems by controlling the home appliances using cell phone anywhere and anytime around the world. This project is useful to people who are aged, handicapped or after load shedding when light comes and people are not at home and forget to tum the appliances OFF, can do so by using their mobile phones. This project also relates to security system in which we can control the security of the house at the main gate using a keypad and also using motion sensors to detect any movement, which is then sent to our mobiles.

This Project focuses on the security of Short Message Service (SMS) and the use of encryption to protect SMS messages. Encryption is an important factor when confidential data is transmitted over the network. The system developed for end to end secure transmission of the SMS. The algorithm used is AES (Advanced Encryption Standards) algorithm. This application is developed on PIC based microcontroller platform. The most widely used algorithm in different application is AES algorithm. We have developed a system using PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller) Microcontroller and GSM Modem platform which allows the user to encrypt the messages before it is transmitted over the network. This system provides a strong, secure, and fast encryption of the data. There is a large amount of confusion and diffusion of the SMS during encryption which makes it very difficult almost impossible for an attacker or hacker to decrypt the encryption pattern.

<title>GSM Base Electricity Theft Control System</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/16074</link>
<description>GSM Base Electricity Theft Control System
Bilal Ali Shah, 01-113092-006; Khuram Shahzad Abbasi, 01-113092-011; M. Umair khan, 01-113092-017
The aim of this project is to design a GSM base electricity theft control system, which will detect the electricity theft and report the concerned authorities for timely control and necessary actions. Implementation of an efficient and intelligent theft control mechanism can help resolve this problem to great extent and save a huge amount of electrical energy. In this way our system will help increase the available electrical energy produced by the existing resources and will thus ensure efficient utilization. In this project we have focused on unlawful connection detection (Kundi System) and illegal earthling of the electricity connection for theft purposes. To detect the unlawful connection (Kundi system), amount of current leaving by the current transformer is compared with the amount of current entering towards the user end. If the amount of current at user end is less as compared to amount of transformer current at used end is less as compared to amount of transformer current that mean unlawful connection is on wire between current transformer and user end. To detect the meter earthling, amount of current leaving from transformer is compared with the amount of current leaving from users end. If amount of current is not equal that mean dubbing in meter of users.
